DETERMINATION OF TOTAL FORKLIFT FOR LOADING PROCESS AT PT. CM WAREHOUSE USING DISCRETE SIMULATION

PENENTUAN JUMLAH FORKLIFT PADA PROSES PEMUATAN DI GUDANG PT. CM DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SIMULASI DISKRIT

ABSTRAK

Area pemuatan truk kontainer di PT. CM memiliki 8 buah dok dan 2 buah forklift. Kegiatan dalam proses pemuatan barang ke dalam truk kontainer TK meliputi pemberhentian TK di area pemuatan pembukaan pintu kontainer oleh supir TK pembersihan terhadap kontainer oleh supir TK pemeriksaan terhadap kondisi TKpengambilan foto terhadap kontainer pengambilan produk untuk dimasukkan ke dalam kontainer dengan forklift penataan produk didalam kontainer oleh 1 grup buruh angkat pemeriksaan akhir sebelum kontainer ditutup penutupan TK dan penyegelan terhadap kontainer. Banyaknya permintaan produk oleh konsumen serta minimnya jumlah forklift yang dimiliki menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan waktu pemuatan barang loading time di area pemuatan. Peningkatan waktu pemuatan barang mengakibatkan biaya lembur dan biaya pinalti juga semakin meningkat. Untuk mengatasi meningkatnya waktu pemuatan barang tersebut maka dilakukan penentuan jumlah forklift dengan menggunakan metode simulasi diskrit dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut 1 mengumpulkan data dari proses pemuatan yang telah dijelaskan diatas 2 membuat model diagram alir simulasi proses pemuatan pada kondisi eksisting 3 melakukan proses simulasi pada kondisi eksisting 4 melakukan uji verifikasi dan uji validasi 5 mengembangkan proses skenario simulasi dan 6 melakukan analisis dari hasil simulasi yang telah dilakukan. Hasil dari pengembangan proses skenario simulasi menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan 4 forklift waktu proses pemuatan dapat diperpendek sehingga biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan juga dapat diturunkan.


ABSTRACT

The loading area of container truck in PT. CM has 8 docks and 2 forklifts. Loading process into container truck CT covers discharging CT in the loading area dismantling containers gate by the CT driver cleaning the container by the CT driver checking up of container condition taking picture of the container taking up the product for entered on the container by forklift structuring product into container by one group of porter final inspection before container closed closing CT and sealing of the container. A lot of product demands by the consumers then followed by few forklift range that they have caused raising up the loading time. Raising up the loading time can cause overtime and penalty fee up also. Deciding forklift range is the way for handling of loading time raising by using discrete simulation method as follows 1 collecting data from loading process which is described above 2 making simulation line diagram of loading process in the existing condition 3 doing simulation process in the existing condition 4 doing verification and validation examination 5 expanding scenario of simulation process and 6 doing analysis from simulation result that already done. The result of expanding simulation process scenario showed that by using 4 forklifts in the shortest loading process the company can push the cost of outcome.
