Description:

Air merupakan kebutuhan utama bagi kehidupan manusia. Selain sebagai kebutuhan hidup, air juga berperan penting dalam mengatasi kebakaran yang belakangan ini sering terjadi di perumahan. Dengan makin banyaknya perumahan baru, kenaikan jumlah penduduk serta kurang pedulinya para pembangun perumahan terhadap bahaya kebakaran maka diperlukan suatu pendistribusian air untuk perumahan dan hydrant yang baik dan optimal. Perancangan sistem distribusi air ini menggunakan metode Hardy-Cross, dimana metode ini sering digunakan dalam perancangan sistem distribusi air. Dengan metode ini dapat diketahui besar debit aliran di setiap pipa di suatu pipa jaringan. Untuk dapat menggunakan metode ini diperlukan faktor utama metode ini yaitu besarnya kebutuhan air, panjang pipa, diameter pipa, faktor gesekan, grafitasi, perkiraan awal arah aliran di tiap pipa dan arah loop yang telah ditentukan. Perencanaan ini dihitung berdasarkan atas permintaan normal dengan total permintaan sebesar 179.444 m³/menit (113 rumah @ 1.588 m³/menit) dan permintaan puncak dengan permintaan puncak sebesar 269.166 m³/menit (113 rumah @ 2.382 m³/menit). Sedangkan untuk sistem hydrant memerlukan hydrant sebanyak 9 buah dengan kebutuhan air sebesar 7.569 m³/menit. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini didapatkan arah aliran di setiap pipa untuk perumahan dan sistem hydrant sesuai dengan kebutuhan air yang dikehendaki, distribusi tekanan di tiap pipa, besar daya pompa untuk sistem hydrant. Untuk permintaan normal, debit aliran didalam pipa terbesar terdapat pada pipa 30 sebesar 103,2 m³/menit dan debit aliran terkecil terdapat pada pipa no 61 dengan nilai sebesar 0.44 m³/menit. Sedangkan untuk permintaan puncak debit aliran didalam pipa terbesar teradapat pada pipa no 30 dengan nilai sebesar 157.028 m³/menit , dan debit terkecil terdapat pada pipa no 61 dengan nilai sebesar 0,5332 m³/menit. Pada sistem hydrant, debit pipa terbesar terdapat pada pipa no 1 dengan nilai sebesar 7,569 m³/menit dan debit pipa terkecil terdapat pada pipa no 6 dengan nilai sebesar 0.8178 m³/menit. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air pada sistem hydrant dibutuhkan pompa yang memiliki daya sebesar 638.41 HP dengan head sebesar 183.316 m dan kapasitas sebesar 11.34 m³/menit.

Water is main human necessary for human life. Water is used for life necessary and also water used for solved the fire building that often happened in this time. Because of increasing new residences, increasing of people and low attention of residence developer about fire disaster so it is need to design a water distribution system for residence and hydrant system that proper and optimal. Designing of water distribution system was used Hardy Cross Method which often used for designing of water distribution system. With this method, the value of water flow rate for each pipe in pipe network could be calculated. This method has many factors that needed to calculate the flow rate. The factors is water demand, pipe length, pipe diameter, friction factor, gravitation acceleration, initial estimated flow direction and loop direction. This design was calculated based on normal water demand with total demand 179.444 m³/minute (113 houses @ 1.588 m³/minute) and peak water demand with total demand 269.166 m³/minute (113 houses @ 2.382 m³/minute). This Final Project could get the pipe flow direction in each pipe both of residence and hydrant system as needed, pressure distribution in each pipe, and pump power for hydrant system. For normal demand, the highest flow rate was occurred in 30th pipe with value is 103.2 m³/minute and the lowest flow rate was occurred in 61st pipe with value is 0.44 m³/minute. And for peak water demand, the highest flow rate was occurred in 30th pipe with value is 157.028 m³/minute and the lowest flow rate was occurred in 61st pipe with value is 0.5332 m³/minute. For hydrant system, the highest flow rate was occurred in 1st pipe with value is 7.569 m³/minute and the lowest flow rate was occurred in 6th pipe with value is 0.8178 m³/minute. To containing the demand of flow rate for Hydrant system, was needed pump which have a power is 638.41 HP with head value is 183.316 m and capacity is 11.343 m³/minute.
