ALAT PENGUKUR KETEBALAN DINDING MENGGUNAKAN SENSOR ULTRASONIK

WALL THICKNESS MESUREMENT TOOL USING ULTRASONIC CENSOR

ABSTRAK

Dinding merupakan salah satu struktur penyangga bangunan. Kekuatan dinding tidak dapat di pandang sebelah mata. Dinding yang keropos dapat menjadi salah satu faktor robohnya suatu gedung atau bangunan. Gelombang ultrasonik dapat merambat di medium padat dan dapat dipantulkan pada batas 2 medium yang berbeda. Dalam tugas akhir ini di rancang alat pengukur ketebalan dinding menggunakan aplikasi gelombang ultrasonik. Dengan alat ini dapat di ukur ketebalan dinding dengan hasil dan di tampilkan di layar LCD. Alat ini terdiri dari transmitter receiver gelombang ultrasonik dan up counter. Transmitter dilengkapi dengan trasnduser ultrasonik pemancar khusus medium padat dan receiver sama dengan tranduser Gelombang ultrasonik yang dupancarkan rangkaian transmitter menembus permukaan batu-bata dan dipantulkan kembali ke rangkaian receiver. Waktu tempuh menjalani gelombang ini diukur dengan menggunakan up-counter dengan menggunakan metoda time of flight. Ketebalan dapat di peroleh dengan menghitung melalui rumus yang di program dalam mikrokontroler dengan memasukkan waktu tempuh tersebut. Telah dilakukan pengujian dengan dapat mengukur ketebalan batu-bata 5 cm. Didapatkan hasil yang baik dengan menggunakan frekwensi 40kHz pada keluaran tranduser ultrasonik.


ABSTRACT

Wall is one of prop structure of building. Wall strength cannot approach of side eye. Wall that brittle can become one of factor the crashing of a building. Ultrasonic wave can creep in solid medium and can be bounced at 2 different medium. At this final project is designed thick measurement of wall using the ultrasonic censors. By this toolcan measure the thickness of wall with known are monitored on LCD. This tools have many part like ultrasonic transmitter waves ultrasonic receiver waves and up-counter system. The transmitter equiped with ultrasonic special solid tranducer tranducer medium and receiver also. Ultrasonic waves transmitted from the transmitter network penetrating stone surface and bounded back to receiver network. The time delay that waves through is measured with up-counter system with time of flight method. The thickness wall can be easily earned with counting the formula that progarammed on microcontroller with move in the time delay. Had tested the examination with can measuring thickness of brick that have thickness 5 cm. At 40kHz frequency of tranducer gived the result is well.
