HUBUNGAN TEGANGAN REGANGAN BETON MUTU TINGGI DENGAN PASIR BESI SEBAGAI CEMENTITIOUS

ABSTRAK

Untuk memproduksi beton mutu tinggi diperlukan bahan halus yang ditentukan oleh ASTM sebagai subsitusi semen untuk mengurangi porositas beton. Pasir besi yang mempunyai komposisi Fe203 54.31 Si02 29.95 MgO 5.12 BJ 4.18 dan ukuran butiran 80-100 mesh berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai cementitious dalam produksi beton mutu tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mencari komposisi optimum subsitusi pasir besi dalam campuran beton. Sampel pengujian dipakai pada pasta mortar dan silinder beton. Subsitusi serbuk pasir besi terhadap berat semen diambil mulai dari 10 20 30 40 50. Uji kuat tekan dilakukan pada umur 3 7 2128 56 dan 90 hari. Untuk mengetahui reaksi yang terjadi pada pasta dilakukan pengujian XRD dan SEM. Untuk mengehui hubungan tegangan regangan modulus elatisitas dan Poisson ratio menggunakan benda uji silinder beton 150 x 300 mm pada umur 28 hari. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subsitusi 10 pasir besi terhadap semen dapat memberikan peningkatan pada kualitas beton mutu tinggi. Pada pengujian kuat tekan pasta untuk 10 pasir besi dapat meningkatkan 14.78 dibanding dengan pasta normal. Untuk mortar dengan 10 pasir besi kuat tekannya meningkat sampai 20.85 sedangkan pada beton dengan penambahan 10 serbuk pasir besi kuat tekannya meningkat 9.34. Tegangan dan regangan dengan penambahan 10 pasir besi juga meningkat sekitar 10.25 terhadap beton normal sedangkan modulus meningkat 765 dan Poison rationya meningkat sekitar 1416.


ABSTRACT

In producing the high strength concrete it is needed to use the fine material that standard by ASTM as cementitious in order to minimize the porous. Ironsands contain of Fe203 54.31 Si02 29.95 MgO 5.12 specific garvity 4.2 and size grain 80 -100 mesh has pontensial to be used as cementitious in producing the concrete. The purposes of the research herein is to determine the optimum composition of ironsands in mixing concrete. The samples of the research used are paste mortar and concrete silinder. The procentage of ironsands to the weight of cement is started firom 0 10 20 30 40 and 50. Compressive strength are tested at 3 7 21 28 56 and 90 days of age. The XRD X-ray Defaction and SEM Scanning Electron Microscope tests are applied in paste sample in order to determine the reaction of ironsands. The result shows that 10 ironsands in the weight of cement can increase the quality of concrete for paste increases about 14.78 in compressive strength compare to normal paste. Mortar increases about 20.85 and concrete silinder increases 9.34. The stress-strain relation for concrete with 10 ironsands increase about 10.25 compared to normal concrete. The value elastic modulus and Poisson ratio is higher 7.65 and 14.16 than the value of normal concrete.
