Description:

Pada penelitian ini mempelajari tentang kapasitas adsorpsi dari abu dasar untuk mengadsorpsi metilen biru dari larutan. Uji adsorpsi dilakukan dengan cara penentuan laju alir, penentuan konsentrasi, dan pH optimum. Variasi laju alir influen dalam kolom yakni 1,6 mL/menit, 4 mL/menit, 16 mL/menit, 26,4 mL/menit , 33 mL/menit, 43,2 mL/menit (pH awal metilen biru tanpa dikondisikan). Data hasil penelitian konsentrasi awal diketahui bahwa semakin meningkatnya konsentrasi metilen biru maka semakin meningkat kapasitas adsorpsinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin meningkatnya laju alir dapat menurunkan kapasitas adsorpsi adsorben terhadap metilen biru. pH effluent tidak dipengaruhi pH awal influen. Akan tetapi, kapasitas adsorpsi dipengaruhi pH awal influen. Pada influen yang dikondisikan pH 2 merupakan kapasitas adsorpsi lebih tinggi.

This research study about capacity adsorpsi from bottom ash, for adsorption of methylene blue from aqueous solution. Adsorption test by determinate flow rate, initial concentration, and pH optimum. Variations of influent flow rate on column were at 1,6 mL/minutes, 4 mL/minutes, 16 mL/minutes, 26,4 mL/minutes, 33 mL/minutes, 43,2 mL/minutes. The result show that determine initial concentration methylene blue is known that increasing concentration methylene blue make increase adsorption capacity. Result show that increasing of flow rate canít decreasing adsorption capacity of adsorbent to methylene blue. The pH effluent was not affected by the initial pH of influent. However, the adsorption capacity affected by the pH influent. At adjusted pH 2, the capacity adsorption was higher.
