ABSTRAK

Diantara fasilitas galangan yang ada di PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya penggunaan floating crane menunjukkan efektifitas produksi yang nyata. Ini disebabkan karena terbatasnya jangkauan dan kapasitas crane darat untuk menunjang kegiatan galangan. Floating crane di PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya berfungsi terutama untuk pengangkatan material atau blokblok untuk kegiatan ship repairing maupun ship building. Saat ini kapasitas floating crane yang dimiliki PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya maksimum 30 ton dengan tipe fix crane non-self propelled barge. Kondisi tersebut mengurangi efisiensi kerja galangan terutama untuk kebutuhan pengangkatan material atau blok-blok lebih dari 30 ton. Oleh karena itu kapasitas floating crane yang lebih besar diperlukan sehingga volume pemindahan material atau blokblok menjadi lebih cepat. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan floating crane sesuai dengan kebutuhan PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya diuraikan. Crane yang dipakai direncanakan memiliki kapasitas angkat 100 ton tipe revolved crane 360 dan tipe barge-nya yaitu self propelled barge. Proses perancangan dimulai dengan mencari ukuran utama barge. Ukuran utama barge didapatkan dari barge pembanding. Adapun ukuran utama yang perlu diperhatikan adalah LoaLpp B H T dan kapasitas daya angkat. Selanjutnya dari data tersebut dilakukan proses optimisasi yang meliputi perhitungan tahanan propulsi BHP mesin induk intact stability trim dan estimasi harga pembangunan serta biaya operasional tahun pertama. Fungsi obyektif dari proses ini adalah meminimalkan biaya pembangunan dan biaya operasional tahun pertama. Dari hasil proses ini ukuran utama optimal yang didapatkan adalah Lpp 42.672 m B 23.000 m H 3.369 m T 2.081 Vs 5 knot. Berdasarkan ukuran utama optimal ini gambar rencana garis dan rencana umum floating crane disajikan dan dianalisis.


ABSTRACT

The use of a floating crane in PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya between shipyard facilities gives the production efectifity. The reason for this is that the capacity and reach of existing mobile and lifting cranes are limited and not sufficient to support planned shipyard activities. The floating crane in PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya has a function especially to lift blocks or material for ship repairing and ship building. Currently the maximum capacity of the floating crane in PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya is 30 ton with the type of fix crane nonself propelled barge which is ever than the intended capacity that is 100 ton. Therefore the larger capacity of floating crane is needed thus moving blocks or material faster. In this final project the design of a floating crane suited to the requirement of PT.Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya is presented. The crane to be planned has a lifting capacity of 100 ton with the type of 3600 revolved crane and self propelled barge. The design process starts with searching principal dimensions of the barge which incude Loa or Lpp B H T and lifting capacity. Then from these data the optimization process is carried out which considered the resistance horse power of main engine intact stability transverse stability and estimation of ship building cost and first year operating cost. The objective function of this process is to minimize these cost. The optimum principal dimensions resulting from this optimization process are Lpp42.672 m B23.000 m H3.369 m T2.081 m and Vs5 knots. Using these dimensions Lines Plan and General Arrangement are then drawn and analyzed.
