Description:

Ketika menghadapi kasus tanah sangat lunak, biasanya metode perencanaan pondasi yang dipilih adalah dengan menggunakan pondasi dalam (tiang pancang). Selama ini belum banyak metode lain yang digunakan untuk menghadapi kasus struktur pondasi di atas tanah sangat lunak. Karena itu perlu dikembangkan metode lain sebagai alternatif perencanaan pondasi. Dalam tugas akhir ini, alternatif pondasi yang akan direncanakan adalah menggunakan pondasi dangkal di atas tanah sangat lunak yang telah diperbaiki dengan Prefabricated Vertikal Drain / PVD yang dikombinasikan dengan pembebanan preloading sementara menggunakan tanah urug atau menggunakan vacuum preloading. Dengan metode perbaikan tanah vertical drain menggunakan Prefabricated Vertikal Drain / PVD yang dikombinasikan dengan pembebanan sementara menggunakan tanah urug atau vacuum preloading, settlement yang seharusnya terjadi dalam puluhan dapat bahkan ratusan tahun dapat ii diselesaikan dalam beberapa bulan atau beberapa minggu saja dan sekaligus meningkatkan daya dukung tanah dasar. Metode ini sedang diusulkan dalam beberapa proyek oleh Mochtar (2004), tetapi perlu ada kajian dan perhitungan lebih teliti mengenai penerapannya pada bangunan bertingkat serta sampai sejauh mana efektifitasnya jika dibandingkan dengan cara konvensional (pondasi tiang pancang). Dalam tugas akhir ini diambil contoh bangunan yang dianggap representatif yaitu gedung D3 Polibisnis Unair Surabaya yang direncanakan 3, 4 dan 5 lantai serta studi kasus tanah sangat lunak dengan variasi kedalaman tanah lunak 10 meter, 20 meter dan 30 meter. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan alternatif pondasi yang dapat digunakan pada gedung bertingkat yang didirikan di atas tanah sangat lunak. Pada masing-masing variasi kedalaman tersebut diterapkan 2 macam konstruksi pondasi. Pondasi dalam yaitu pondasi tiang pancang beton dan pondasi dangkal pada tanah yang telah selesai diperbaiki dengan sistem perbaikan tanah vertical drain (drainase vertikal). Kedua macam konstruksi pondasi ini lalu dibandingkan untuk mengetahui perbedaan biaya, serta analisa kebaikan dan kerugiannya.

When dealing with very soft soils, the foundation method usually takes are deep foundation using piles. In this mean time there still not many other methods which could be use when dealing with foundation strucktur cases in very soft soils. That is the reason why we need to develops other methods as alternative. In this final project, will be design shallow foundations in very soft soils which has been repaired with vertical drains using PVD (Prefabricated Vertical Drain), combined with temporary preloading surcharge using embankment or vacuum preloading. With soils repair method using PVD combined with temporary preloading surcharge using embankment or vacuum preloading, the settlement which takes thousands even hundreds years can be over within month or weeks. This method can also improved the bearing capasity of soils. This method is being proposed in several projects by Mochtar (2004), but it needs further calculation on how effective if compared with the ordinary method using pile foundations. In this final project will be using iv D3 Polibisnis Unair building in Surabaya which design of 3, 4 and 5 floors. The soils data is using very soft soils with soft soils depth variation of 10, 20 and 30 meter. The goals of this final project are to compares other foundation alternative which can be use on buildings construct in very soft soils. On each hard soils depth variations will be contruct 2 methods of foundation strucktur. Deep fondations using pile and shallow foundations on repaired soils using vertical drains (PVD-Prefabricated Vertical Drain), combined with temporary preloading surcharge using embankment or vacuum preloading. Then both of this two method compared to find the cost differences and analise the losts and advantages.
