THE OPTIMATION OF THE SEAT SUPPLY PROPORTIONIN EACH CLASS OF THE PASSENGER SHIP M.V. LABOBAR OF PT PELNI

ABSTRAK

Kapal Motor Labobar milik PT. Pelni, menyediakan 4 kelas penumpang; yaitu : kelas IA. IB, III wisata dan Ekonomi. Jumlah penumpang yang diangkut oleh kapal KM. Labobar, untuk kelas IA, IB, dan III Wisata di setiap ruas dan setiap trip (perjalanan pelayaran) dalam satu periode sangat bervariasi. Adanya fluktuasi penumpang di antara trip dan ruas-ruas yang dilalui selama satu perioda tersebut, merupakan masalah bagi operator untuk menentukan bagaimana proporsi penyediaan seat yang paling cocok untuk melayani demand-nya agar tujuan pengoperasian tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proporsi penyediaan seat tiap kelas yang sesuai untuk kriteria jumlah penumpang terangkut maksimal (Kriteria 1), penumpang non-ekonomi tak terangkut minimal (Kriteria 2), seat non-ekonomi tak terjual minimal (Kriteria 3), total dari jumlah penumpang non-ekonomi tak terangkut dan seat non-ekonomi tak terjual minimal (Kriteria 4), dan keuntungan operasional maksimal (Kriteria 5), berdasarkan total kapasitas yang tersedia dan jumlah penumpang pada tiap pelabuhan yang disinggahi, serta biaya pengadaan dan harga karcis tiap seat-mil untuk masing-masing kelas. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini, disusun model matematis perhitungan proporsi penyediaan untuk berbagai kriteria berdasarkan konsep dasar kurva kebaikan suai (goodness of fit curve) dan metoda trial and error berupa iterasi kombinasi penyediaan seat, serta menggunakan alat bantu program komputer (bahasa C++) untuk proses perhitungan optimasinya. Dari hasil optimasi diperoleh jumlah kabin yang optimal untuk tiap-tiap criteria adalah berbeda-beda. Kriteria 1 optimal dengan proporsi kabin kelas nonekonomi sebesar 5,3, dan, 23. Kriteria 2 sebesar 13,9, dan, 96. Kriteria 3 sebesar 0,0, dan, 0. Kriteria 4 sebesar 4,3, dan, 20. Kriteria 5 sebesar 12,8, dan, 63. Tiap-tiap kombinasi proporsi kabin memiliki total produksi yang dihasilkan (dalam satuan SDUM-Mil); total nilai hasil produksi yang dihasilkan (dalam satuan Rupiah); total biaya variabel yang dikeluarkan (dalam satuan Rupiah); total biaya operasional yang dikeluarkan (dalam satuan Rupiah); nilai kriteria 1; nilai kriteria 2; nilai kriteria 3; Total pendapatan operasional (dalam satuan Rupiah); dan Laba atau keuntungan operasional (dalam satuan Rupiah) yang berbeda-beda.


ABSTRACT

Motor Vessel Laborar, PT PELNI’s property, supplied 4 passenger classes, it’s IA, IB, Tourism III, and economy class. The total of passenger that was carried by M.V. Labobar, for IA, IB, and tourism III class in every segmen and trip (voyage) in one period was so variation. The presence of passenger fluctuation between trip and segmens that was passed during this one period, being problem for operator to decide how is the proportion supply seat of the fittest seat to service its demand, so the purpose of operation can be reached. This research has purpose to find out the proportion of seat supply in every class that appropriate for criteria of total passenger maximum that was carried (first criteria), non-economy passenger minimum that wasn’t carried (second criteria), non-economy seat minimum that wasn’t sold (third criteria), total of amount passenger non-economy that wasn’t carried and non-economy seat minimum that wasn’t sold (fourth criteria), and the benefit of operational maximum (fifth criteria), based on total capacity that was supplied and total passenger in every harbor that was visited, and with the cost of addition and price of ticket in every seat-mil for each class. To finish this problem, was arranged mathematic model for calculation of proportion supply for various criteria based on the basic concept from goodness of fit curve and trial and error method in the shape of supply seat combination, with use the assistance tool of computer program (C++ language) to process its optimize calculation. From the optimize result, was obtained the total cabin that optimal for each criteria is different. First criteria, optimal with proportion cabin non-economy class as large as 5,3 and 23. Second criteria as large as 13,9 and 96. Third criteria as large as 0,0 and 0. Fourth criteria as large as 4,3 and 20. Fifth criteria as large as 12,8 and 63. Each combination of cabin proportion has total production that was produced (in SDUM-mil); total value of production result that was produced (in rupiah); value of the first criteria; value of the second criteria; value of the third criteria; total of the income operational (in rupiah); and profit or benefit operational (in rupiah) that different.
