Pembangkitan energi terbarukan menawarkan potensi besar dalam keperluan energi global kedepan. Energi matahari adalah pilihan terbaik untuk pembangkit listrik yang mana tersedia setiap tempat dan gratis untuk mendapatkannya. Topik pada tugas akhir ini adalah tentang perancangan dari sistem optimalisasi daya panel surya dengan Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). MPPT dibangun dengan sebuah topologi DC-DC Converter jenis buck-converter. MPPT melakukan tracking tegangan output dari panel surya dan menentukan titik tegangan daya maksimal (Vmpp) yang akan menghasilkan daya maksimal selama satu periode dalam sehari. Pada penelitian ini, sistem MPPT didesain dengan efisiensi rata-rata sebesar 95,87% dan dihasilkan peningkatan daya sekitar 19% - 23% jika dibandingkan dengan panel surya dihubungkan langsung dengan baterei.

Renewable energy generation offers great potential in meeting future global energy requirements. Energy from the sun is the best option for electricity generation as it is available every where and is free to harness. The topic of this final project is about The design of power optimalitation system for solar module with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). MPPT is built with DC-DC Converter topology mode buck convereter. The MPPT tracks the output voltage from the solar panel and determines the maximum power voltage (Vmpp) that will deliver the maksimum power during all periods of the day.. In this research, The MPPT System was designed with an average efficiency of 95,87% and was result a power increase of about 19% - 23% than solar panel connected directly to a battery.
