ABSTRAK

Perhitungan lendutan dan tegangan pada pelat dengan menggunakan rumus analitis banyak mengalami kesulitan sehingga perlu pemecahan yang lebih sederhana mudah dan efisien. Solusinya adalah dengan menggunakan rumus numerik antara lain Metode Beda Hingga. Disini kita menghitung lendutan dan tegangan dengan menggunakan titik jaring yang berbentuk bujur sangkar yang ditumpu dengan tumpuan sederhana dan jepit. Yang mendapat beban lateral. Variasi diskritisasi yang dipilih antara lain a4 a6 a8 a10 a12 a14 a16 a18 a20 a22 a24 a26 a28 a30 dan a32. Hasil dari perhitungan dibandingkan dengan rumus analitis dan Metode Elemen Hingga serta dicari besarnya perbedaan yang ada.


ABSTRACT

Calculation of stress and displacement of plate by using analytical formula has some difficulties if the geometry of the plate becomes complex. For that reason there is a need for simpler and more efficient way for these calculations for example by using a numerical method. In this report the finite difference method FDM is studied which is a numerical method for the purpose of the calculation of stress and displacement of plate under lateral loading. The stress and displacement are calculated by using string point of square type for plates supported simply or fixed. The variation of the discretisation has been chosen as a4 a6 a8 a10 a12 a14 a16 a18 a20 a22 a24 a26 a28 a30 and a32.The result from the FDM calculations are compared with analytical and FEM finite element method results. The accuracy of the FDM is comparable with FEM in some cases but in other cases the difference between these two methods are quite significant.
