ALTERNATIF STUDY OF RETAINING WALL DESIGN LPA BENOWO

ABSTRAK

Saat ini salah satu permasalahan terbesar bagi kota Surabaya adalah sampah yang terus bertambah seiring dengan bertambahnya penduduk. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah pengembangan Lahan Pembuangan Akhir (LPA) yang berlokasi di Benowo. Pengembangan LPA ini diikuti dengan pembangunan dinding penahan sebagai struktur yang akan menahan timbunan sampah. Tinggi dinding penahan direncanakan dibangun setinggi 5 meter diatas tanah lunak dengan kedalaman tanah keras -20 m. Dari latar belakang tersebut timbul sebuah pemikiran untuk melakukan studi alternatif tentang desain struktur dinding penahan yang memungkinkan untuk dibangun dan murah. Untuk mendapatkan desain tersebut awalnya dilakukan studi literatur mengenai dinding penahan. Kemudian dipilih beberapa desain untuk direncanakan, baru setelah itu merencanakan dimensi dari dinding penahan tersebut. Setelah didapatkan dimensi dari struktur dan memenuhi stabilitas yang disyaratkan maka diadakan analisa biaya. Khusus untuk dinding penahan beton bertulang, apabila perhitungan stabilitasnya tidak memenuhi maka digunakan tiang pancang karena dalam hal ini tanah dasarnya adalah tanah lunak. Sedang untuk geotexile wall apabila stabilitasnya tidak memenuhi maka direncanakan perbaikan tanah dasar, namun apabila perbaikan tanah dasar dipertimbangkan tidak mungkin dilaksanakan maka tidak akan dilakukan analisa biaya. Dari perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, dipilih dinding penahan tipe kantilever bertangga modifikasi soldier pile dengan batter pile. Tipe tersebut dipilih karena total biaya konstruksinya yang murah yaitu 6.692.635.450 rupiah dengan panjang dinding 145 m.


ABSTRACT

Nowadays, one of the problems in Surabaya is rubbish with each passing day worsen. It can be solved by building a sanitary landfill in Benowo. Retaining wall is built to complete this sanitary landfill as the structure to retain the surcharge of soil. The height of the wall is about 5 meters from the surface with depth of rock materials is about 20 meters. So, it is very important to do the alternative study of retaining wall design to get the most effective and the cheapest design. There are several steps to get the design. First, we studied the literature about the retaining wall. Then, we choose some design to be built, and planed its dimension. After the dimension is in compliance with its stability control, we analyzed its cost. There are three designs of retaining wall, such as counterfort concrete retaining wall, concrete retaining wall with cantilever arranged in steps, and geotextile wall. For bearing capacity of both of concrete retaining wall is ineligible, use pile to recover it. And for bearing capacity of geotextile wall is ineligible, do some soil improvement of sub grade. The conclusion of design calculation is concrete retaining wall with cantilever arranged in steps modified with soldier pile and batter pile is chosen because the construction cost is the cheapest, 6.692.635.450 rupiahs, with the length of wall is about 145 meters.
