Description:

In mass production of normal concrete in a factory, it is often that the quality produced is smaller than the target (ideal value) of the compressive strength expected. This, of course, will very much influence the profitability of that company. This experiment is aimed at seeking out the best design, that is concrete mix with as high compressive strength as possible (higher is better) for concrete quality K 225 at 28 days. Experiment design used is Taguchi design with orthogonal array model. Analysis of the data done based on optimizing Signal-To-Noise Ratio (S/N Ratio) and uses Analysis of Variance procedure (ANOVA). Controllable factors observed are W/C ratio, sand content, crushed stone gradation simulated in three different levels, whereas noise factor simulated is cleanliness of sand aggregate with two levels. Analysis result shows that only W/C ratio factor significantly influence the compressive strength of normal concrete. Making process setting of normal concrete so that compressive strength is optimum is reached at combination of W/C ratio = 0.35, sand content = 35%, and crushed stone gradation = well gradation. With confidence interval 90%, the range of compressive strength resulted is between 406.63 kg/cm2 until 644.32 kg/cm2.

Pada produksi beton normal secara massal di pabrik, seringkali mutu yang dihasilkan lebih kecil dari target (nilai ideal) kekuatan tekan yang diharapkan. Hal ini tentu saja akan sangat mempengaruhi profitabilitas dari perusahaan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari rancangan terbaik, yaitu campuran beton normal dengan kekuatan tekan semaksimal mungkin (higher is better) untuk mutu beton K 225 pada umur 28 hari. Rancangan eksperimen yang digunakan adalah rancangan Taguchi dengan model matrik ortogonal. Analisa data dilakukan berdasarkan pengoptimalan Signal-To-Noise Ratio (S/N Ratio) serta menggunakan prosedur Analisa Varian (ANOVA). Faktor-faktor kendali yang diamati adalah W/C ratio, kadar pasir, dan gradasi batu pecah, disimulasikan dalam tiga level yang berbeda, sedangkan faktor gangguan (derau/noise) yang disimulasikan adalah kebersihan dari agregat pasir dengan dua level. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa hanya faktor W/C ratio yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kekuatan tekan beton normal. Setting proses pembuatan beton normal agar kekuatan tekan optimum dicapai pada kombinasi W/C ratio = 0,35, kadar pasir = 35%, dan gradasi batu pecah = gradasi baik. Taksiran harga kekuatan tekan yang optimum adalah sebesar 511,86 kg/cm2, dan dengan interval keyakinan 90% dihasilkan range dari kekuatan tekan antara 406,63 kg/cm2 sampai dengan 644,32 kg/cm2.
