Description:

Metode statistik yang menggunakan variabel prediktor dan variabel respon yang bersifat kategori adalah regresi logistik. Variabel prediktor yang dipergunakan berupa data kategori atau kontinu dan variabel respon berupa data dengan skala nominal atau ordinal. Untuk data variabel respon berskala kualitatif-nominal, maka analisis statistika yang sesuai untuk memodelkannya adalah analisis regresi logistik multinomia, sedangkan untuk variabel respon berskala kualitatif-ordinal, maka analisis statistika yang sesuai untuk memodelkannya adalah analisis regresi logistik ordinal. Metode estimasi parameter kedua model tersebut adalah metode maksimum likelihood (MLE), yang pada intinya mendapatkan nilai estimasi parameter dengan menurunkan fungsi likelihoodnya. Pada penelitian ini hasil perbandingan regresi logistik multinomial dan regresi logistik ordinal untuk data tiga kategori maupun data empat kategori dengan menggunakan McFadden’s R2 menunjukkan bahwa model yang lebih tepat dipakai pada pemodelan rata-rata nilai UNAS MTsN Surabaya 1 adalah model regresi logistik ordinal pada data tiga kategori. Adapun faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap rata-rata nilai UNAS adalah variabel rata-rata nilai raport siswa, rata-rata nilai try out Departemen Agama dan tingkat pendidikan ayahsiswa.

Logistic regression is the method which figuring of predictor variables and catagorical responce variable. Predictor variables are used have categorical or continuous characteristic data, and response variable is data with nominal or ordinal scale. Data with qualitative nominal scale condition, statistical analysis according to this condition is multinomial logistic regression analysis, while for qualitative ordinal scale, statistical analysis according to this condition is ordinal logistic regression analysis. The method of parameter estimation both of model are maximum likelihood estimation (MLE), both of methods are based to obtained parameter estimation by derriving likelihood function. Best model selection of the multinomial and ordinal logistic regression analysis with three and four categories using McFadden’s R2 of this research that the precise model for UNAS MTsN Surabaya 1 on 2008 modelling is ordinal logistic regression with three catagories. The factors that influence UNAS’s student notification average, Departemen Agama try out’s average and parent education rate.
