TECHNICAL STUDY USING X POWER FUEL MAGNETIZER AT LAMONGAN TRADITIONAL FISHERMAN BOAT WHICH USING MIXTURE FUEL

ABSTRAK

Salah satu cara yang telah banyak dikembangkan untuk mengurangi konsumsi bahan bakar baik di mesin Otto maupun mesin Diesel adalah dengan Fuel Magnetizer. Penelitian yang telah banyak dilakukan adalah pada variasi kekuatan medan magnet dan jenis magnet yaitu permanen dan elektromagnet. Pengujian dan aplikasi yang telah banyak dilakukan berkisar pada mesin berbahan bakar murni baik premium saja atau solar saja. Akhir-akhir ini telah banyak fuel magnetizer yang beredar di pasaran dengan bentuk yang compact. X Power merupakan salah satu fuel magnetizer yang telah lama beredar dengan banyak testimoni dari konsumennya. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan pengujian X Power di kapal nelayan yang berbahan bakar campuran yaitu minyak tanah dengan pelumas transmisi SAE 90. Namun sebelum pengujian lapangan akan dilakukan pengujian di workshop dengan bahan bakar solar sebagai pembuktian produk dan bahan bakar campuran dengan komposisi yang digunakan nelayan. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam pengujian ini adalah mengetahui apakah prosentase penghematan yang tercantum di spesifikasi alat bisa dicapai dan apakah penggunaan fuel magnetizer yang diaplikasikan pada mesin berbahan bakar campuran akan dapat mengurangi konsumsi bahan bakar. Dari hasil pengujian terlihat bahwa prosentase penurunan konsumsi bahan bakar pada mesin diesel berbahan bakar murni solar saja tidak sebesar yang dicantumkan di spesifikasi alat. Semakin besar kekuatan medan magnet akan meningkatkan kinerja alat baik dalam hal peningkatan daya penurunan SFOC dan penurunan temperatur gas buang. Pengujian pada bahan bakar campuran menunjukkan bahwa fuel magnetizer dapat mengurangi konsumsi bahan bakar dalam skala kecil.


ABSTRACT

One way to reduce fuel consumption which have a lot of developed whether at Otto engine or Diesel engine is by using of Fuel Magnetizer. Many research have done using variable magnetic field and the type of magnet which is permanent and electro magnet. Application and trial which have done many times only in engine that using pure fuel whether its gasoline or diesel fuel. Recently there are many fuel magnetizer in the market which have compact size. X Power is one of the fuel magnetizer that show up longer than other with a lot of testimony from the consumer. In this final project will be conduct a trial using X Power at fisherman boat that use mixture fuel from kerosene and transmission lube oil SAE 90. But before we do the field trial it will conduct a trial in the workshop using diesel fuel as a product verification and mixture fuel with the composition that usually used by the fisherman. The objective that want to be reach are knowing about if the fuel consumption reduction percentage on the device specification can be reach or not and if its possible to reduce the fuel consumption of engine that use mixture fuel with the fuel magnetizer. From the result of trial using diesel engine that use pure fuel diesel fuel only we can tell that the fuel consumption reduction percentage that can be reach during the trial is not as big as shown in the device specification. The bigger magnetic field we used will increase the device performance in every aspect such as increasing the power reducing SFOC and reducing the exhaust gas. The trial using diesel engine that use mixture fuel shown that the fuel magnetizer can reduce fuel consumption in the small scale.
