Mekanisasi pertanian untuk proses pemanen padi mulai gencar. Pemerintah telah mengimpor alat panen padi bernama combine harvester. Peralatan ini berfungsi mulai dari pemotongan dahan sampai perontokan gabah. Ternyata peralatan tersebut tidak berfungsi secara optimal. Faktor penghambat antara lain cara pengoperasian relatif sulit; sering terjerembab; sawah berpetak – petak serta mahalnya harga alat. Oleh karena itu perlu dibangun mini combine harvester dengan harga murah dan tepat guna. Mini Combine Harvester yang telah dirintis memiliki 4 bagian penting diantaranya Reaper, Feeder Mechanism, Power Thresher dan Power Train. Makalah ini memuat rancang bangun Feeder Mechanism, Power Thresher dan analisis biaya. Feeder Mechanism didesain untuk menegakkan dan mengangkat padi sampai masuk ke power thresher. Input putaran sebesar 384,72 rpm disediakan oleh gearbox dan ditransmisikan melalui rantai. Pada rantai terpasang jari pengait 12 buah. Sudut kemiringan feeder mechanism direncanakan 48o clock wise terhadap horizontal tanah. Power thresher berguna untuk merontokkan padi. Kapasitas alat secara matematis sebesar 866,25 kg/jam. Gigi perontok tersusun dari baut sejumlah 33 buah. Concave sebagai penyaring memiliki kerapatan 10mm untuk hasil perontokan yang optimal. Dahan padi dikeluarkan ke samping area operasi dengan kipas pelempar. Akhirnya keseluruhan alat yang telah dibangun menghabiskan biaya bersih Rp. 9.819.650,00. Namun bagian feeder mechanism masih perlu dikembangkan ke penelitian lanjutan untuk optimalisasi fungsi alat masih diperlukan.

Agriculture mechanization for paddy crop process have beenstarting intensively. Government imported paddy crop machine was called Combine Harvester. This equipment’s function are strarting from straw cutting until threshing of rice grain. Apparently, the equipment is not functioning in an optimum performance. Inhibiting factor for example method of operation is relatively difficult; it is often fall headlong over the ground; the rice field are compartmentalized and also the price is too expensive. Therefore, it is required to construct mini combine harvester at the cheap price and efficient. Mini Combine Harvester which have been developed have 4 essential parts among others Reaper, Feeder Mechanism, Power Thresher and Power Train. This paper contain of Feeder Mechanism design, Power Thresher and cost analysis. Feeder Mechanism are designed for upholding and lifting paddy till stepping into power thresher. Input angular velocity is equal to 384,72 rpm, it’s provided by gearbox and transmitted through chain. At the chain, it was attached by hook finger a number of 12 piece. Inclination angle of feeder mechanism is planned 48O clock wise to horizontal soil. Power thresher is for paddy threshing. Equipment capacities mathematically are equal to 866,25 kg/hour. Threshing tooth are lapped over from bolt a number of 33 piece. Concave as a buffer have clearance 10mm for optimal threshing result. Straw is spent aside operation area with straw fan. Finally, overall of equipment which have been woke up till finish was spent about Rp. 9.82 millions. But, part of feeder mechanism are still need development for the next research of continuation for the shake of appliance function optimalization still hardly required.
