Description:

Kawasan pantai Kalibuntu termasuk pantai yang paling parah mengalami erosi di kabupaten Probolinggo, hal ini sudah berlangsung cukup lama. Proses dinamis pantai dipengaruhi oleh littoral transport, yang didefinisikan sebagai gerak sedimen di daerah dekat pantai (nearshore zone). Pantai yang mengalami erosi dan akresi tergantung pada sedimen yang masuk dan meninggalkan pantai tersebut. Pantai Kalibuntu merupakan kawasan pantai yang sebagian besar penduduknya hidup sebagai nelayan, oleh karena itu kerusakan pantai sangat berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas yang ada. Analisa bathimetry, gelombang, arus, angin, shoaling dan refraksi merupakan langkah awal untuk mengetahui kondisi pantai yang sebenamya. Perhitungan perubahan garis pantai, dilakukan dengan membandingkan perhitungan transpor sedimen antara metode Bijker dan metode Komar. Terdapat perbedaan nilai yang cukup signifikan, dikarenakan metode Bijker memperhatikan beberapa parameter seperti: kekasaran dasar, ukuran butir, kelandaian pantai, dan karaktenstik sedimen yang masuk selain arus dan arah datangnya gelombang. Secara akumulasi perubahan garis pantai yang disebabkan oleh ketiga arah gelombang yang dominan yaitu barat laut, utara, dan timur laut oleh Bijker adalah sebesar 4.08 meter/tahun (erosi), lebih mendekati kondisi yang sebenamya dilapangan daripada Komar. Menunjuk dari hasil perhitungan perubahan garis pantai Kalibuntu ini, maka perlu direkomendasikan kepada pemerintah kabupaten Probolinggo untuk mengatasi masalah ini dengan pembangunan konstruksi pelindung pantai yang dapat menghambat jalannya transpor sedimen sepanjang pantai dan mencegah terkikisnya pantai. Dimana perletakannya memperhatikan posisi/pias yang mengalami erosi ataupun akresi.

Kalibuntu is a coastal area that has the worst condition within Probolinggo regency, coastal erosion has been going for long time. Dynamic processes of this area was occurred due to littoral transport / sediment motion around nearshore zone. An erosion and accretion depending on incoming and outgoing sediments. Kalibuntu village is a coastal area whose population, mostly live as fishermen. Therefore this dynamic processes in the coastal area directly effect their activities. Analysis of bathimetry, wave, current, wind, shoaling and refraction are the first step, to study littoral transport in this coastal area. Calculations of shoreline positions are obtained by comparing calculation of sediment transport between Bijker and Komar method. There is a significant difference of value due to compute the sediment transport using the Bijker method we also need specific value of such parameters as bottom roughness, particle grain size, beach slope, and incoming sediment character besides direction of wave and current. The accumulated shoreline of changes due to the three dominant wave direction i.e. north west, north and north east by Bijker method are 4.08 m/year (erosion) is closer with the real condition than Komar method. Based on this condition, is recommended to the Probolinggo government to overcome by executing the construction work of coastal protector that can be hampered the movement of sediment transport along shoreline and avoid further coastal erosion, which location shall consider its position of eroded coast as well as its accretion.
