Description:

Image retrieval adalah teknik yang digunakan untuk mencari gambar berhubungan dan mempunyai karakteristik dari sekumpulan gambar berdasarkan informasi yang ada pada gambar tersebut. Proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk membangun program aplikasi yang dapat mengenali gambar ikan. Ciri yang digunakan dalam identifikasi gambar adalah ciri warna (fitur R, G, dan B) dan tekstur. Selanjutnya dilakukan clustering dengan Centroid Linkage Hierarchical Method (CLHM) dan Single Linkage Hierarchical Method (SLHM) terhadap ciri warna dan tekstur yang diperoleh. Dalam clustering, umumnya harus dilakukan inisialisasi jumlah cluster yang diinginkan terlebih dahulu, padahal pada beberapa kasus clustering, user bahkan tidak tahu berapa banyak cluster yang bisa dibangun. Untuk itu, dalam proyek akhir ini diaplikasikan metode Valley Tracing. Metode ini merupakan constraint yang akan melakukan identifikasi terhadap pergerakan variance dari tiap tahap pembentukan cluster, dan menganalisa polanya untuk membentuk suatu cluster secara otomatis (automatic clustering). Jumlah cluster yang diperoleh menunjukkan jumlah cluster yang dibentuk. Metode Centroid Linkage Hierarhical Method (CLHM) lebih efektif daripada metode Single Linkage Hierarhical Method (SLHM) dalam pembentukan cluster.

Image retrieval is the technique used to looking for picture related and have characteristic from the part of picture based on information in the picture. This final project supposed to develop application program which can identified the fish picture. The unique things used in this picture identified based on color (feature R, G and B) and also texture. Then, we make clustering with centroid linkage hierarchical method and single linkage hierarchical to the color characteristic and texture. In clustering, commonly we must take initialization to amount number of cluster before, indeed for some clustering, user do not know how many cluster which can be built. Therefore, in this final project we make valley tracing method. This method is constraint which can take identified for the moving variance from each part clustering, and analysis the pattern to make cluster automatically. The number of cluster which is get shows that amount number of cluster. The centroid linkage hierarchical method as the result get more effective than single linkage hierarchical method is the cluster development
