Description:

Garansi merupakan sebuah kesepakatan dimana produsen bersedia melakukan perbaikan atau penggantian sebuah produk yang mengalami kerusakan dalam masa garansi . Adanya garansi membuat produsen akan dibebani biaya garansi sehingga garansi harus dikelola dengan baik. Namun selama garansi belum dikelola secara optimum. Banyak produsen yang menetapkan kebijakan garansinya dengan meniru kebijakan garansi produsen lain, tidak berdasarkan faktor reliability produk yang mereka miliki. Sebenarnya telah banyak analisa dan formulasi yang dikembangkan dalam menentukan biaya garansi produk namun kebanyakan susah diaplikasikan dan masih menganggap produk sebagai single item bukan multi komponen. Hal ini tentunya kurang tepat karena reliability produk akan sangat ditentukan oleh reliability komponen penyusunnya dan hubungan antar komponennya. Jadi, akan lebih tepat jika analisa perhitungan garansi melihat pada tingkat komponen produk. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan model perhitungan biaya garansi untuk multi komponen dengan menggunakan pendekatan simulasi. Simulasi dipilih karena lebih praktis, aplikatif untuk sistem yang rumit dan dapat menangkap kerandoman dari kejadian. Model yang dikembangkan adalah model generik untuk produk kulkas dan mengambil sudut pandang dari sisi produsen. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa selama ini kompetisi garansi kulkas terbatas pada garansi kompresor. Padahal komponen lain yang masuk pada kelompok availaibity juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap biaya garansi kulkas. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan pengembangan skenario lebih lanjut dan hasil yang didapatkan adalah pada kulkas keluaran lama, kompetisi masa garansi sparepart-service lebih menguntungkan namun pada produk keluaran baru, kompetisi masa garansi kompresor yang jauh lebih menguntungkan.

Warranty is an agreement in which the manufacturer are willing to do the repair or replacement of a damaged product within the warranty period. If a produsen gives warranty, they must reserve warranty cost, so warranty must be managed properly. However, many produsens donít do that and and they set their warranty policy because of following the others only, not based on their product reliabilit factor. Actually, there were many analysises and formulations developed in determining the cost of warranty products but mostly hardly applied and still consider that product as a single item not a multi-component. This is certainly not appropriate because the product reliability will be greatly determined by the reliability of its components reliability and relationships between its components. So, it would be more appropriate if the analysis of the calculation of warranty look at the level component product. Therefore, in this research, a warranty costs calculation model for multi-component by using a simulation approach is developed. Simulation was chosen because it is more practical to apply, suitable for complex systems and can capture the randomness of events. The model which is developed is a generic model and takes a view of the producer side. From the research that was done showed that the competition in refrigerator warranty only on compressor warranty. In fact, many other components that clasified on availaibity group also significantly influence the refrigerator warranty cost. In this research, further development of warranty scenarios was carried out and the results obtained that competition on spareparts-service warranty was more profitable for product that launched in year 2000 or less, but for product that launched in year 2000 or more, competition on compressor warranty was more profitable.
