Description:

Packing rumput laut secara tradisional dirasa kuran g optimal bagi petani. Selain proses yang relatif susah juga hasil packing yang jauh dari harapan. Berangkat dari permasalahan ini, maka dibuatlah sebuah mekanisme yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan packing tersebut. Mesin press adalah salah satu alternatifnya.. Perancangan diawali dengan menentukan spesifikasi mesin berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh, seleksi konsep, perhitungan sistem pnematik, analisa kekuatan konstruksi mesin, dan analisa biaya operasional. Disamping itu, juga dilakukan sebuah percobaan untuk mengetahui berapa besar sebenarnya gaya tekan dan gaya dorong mesin yang dirancang. Hasil akhir perancangan ini adalah dibangunnya sebuah mesin press rumput laut sistem pneumatik yang kuat, mudah dioperasikan, dan mempunyai nilai ekonomis bagi konsumen . Selain itu juga didapat estimasi gaya tekan dan gaya dorong yang dibutuhkan sebenarnya.

Packaging of seaweed traditionally felt less optimal for farmer. Not only relative hard process but also the packaging result which far from target. Because of this problems, hence made a mechanism that capable to fulfill requirement of those packaging. Pressing machine is one of the alternative.. Design is started by determine the spesification of machine based on the information, concept selection, pneumatic system calculation, construction strength analysis, and operating expenses analysis. An experiment also done to know how much the actual impellent and compressive force. The result of this design is the construction of seaweed pressing machine with pneumatic system that strong enough, easy to operate, and have economics value for consumer.Also we got the actual impellent and compressive force from the experiment.
