TRAFFIC SIGNAL COORDINATION CASE OF S. PARMAN - BELITUNG AND S. PARMAN - TARAKAN JUNCTIONS AT BANJARMASIN

ABSTRAK

Koordinasi simpang bersinyal bertujuan untuk mengurangi teijadinya antrian dan tundaan pada beberapa simpang bersinyal yang berdekatan secara berurutan sehingga dapat memberikan kelancaran lalu-lintas. Kondisi seperti ini belum dijumpai pada pengaturan simpang bersinyal untuk persimpangan Jl.S.Parman-Jl.Belitung-Jl.P.Kemerdekaan Simpang 1 dengan persimpangan .ll.S.Parman-Jl.Bali-Jl.Tarakan Simpang 2 di Kota Banjamasin. Akibat yang ditimbulkan adalah sering terjebaknya kendaraan yang baru lolos dari Simpang 1 ke Simpang 2 dan sebaliknya sehingga antrian yang panjang tidak dapat dihindari. Dengan demikian diperlukan studi untuk memperbaiki kinerja simpang tersebut. Data yang diperlukan adalah pencatatan waktu sinyal yang ada di kedua simpang survey geometric volume lalu-lintas di semua pendekat yang ada jarak antar simpang serta survey kecepatan perjalanan antar persimpangan untuk periode pagi siang dan sore. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisa koordinasi simpang bersinyal adalah mengacu pada beberapa pustaka yang ada sedangkan untuk analisa simpang bersinyal digunakan MKJI 1997 dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Kaji. Berdasarkan hasil survey menunjukkan terjadinya perbedaan cycle time waktu siklus untuk semua periode waktu yang ditinjau antara kedua simpang tersebut sehingga untuk menjadikan simpang terkoordinasi diperlukan waktu siklus yang sama pada kedua simpang. Dari hasil analisa didapatkan sebagai beiikui waktu siklus yang dibutuhkan untuk kedua simpang pada periode pagi adalah 82 detik siang 69 detik dan sore 70 detik. Adapun split yang dibutuhkan dari simpang 1 ke simpang 2 untuk periode pagi adalah 82 detik periode siang dan sore 70 detik sedangkan dari simpang 2 ke 1 split yang dibutuhkan untuk periode pagi 74 detik siang 69 detik dan sore 67 detik


ABSTRACT

Traffic signal coordination among adjacents signalized junctions is made to reduce queue and delay. The coordination has never been made for S.Parman-Belitung junction and S.Parman-Tarakan junction at Banjarmasin. Therefore long queue and long delay can be seen occurs at those junctions. Thus a study to coodinate those junction is needed. For doing this coordination data on existing signal timing geometric condition traffic volume distance between the two junctions and travel speed in the morning at noon and in the afternoon are needed. IHCM 97 method is used to calculate timing for individual junction while the coordination method is done by preliminary method developed at ITS Signal timing survey indicated that cycle time at these two junctions and are different. More than that cycle times are also different among those of morning noon afternoon setting. As signal coordination need a uniform cycle time among all signals for each morning noon and afternoon setting cycle times of 82 seconds 69 seconds and 70 seconds are calculated as best cycle time for morning noon and afternoon setting respectively. The splits between junction 1 to junction 2 were set into 82 seconds 69 seconds and 70 seconds for morning noon and afternoon setting respectively while split between junction 2 to junction 1 are 74 seconds 69 seconds and 67 seconds.
