MULTIRESPONSE SURFACE OPTIMIZATION USING DESIRABILITY FUNCTION BASED ON SIX SIGMA QUALITY

ABSTRAK

Kualitas merupakan kata kunci untuk memperbaiki proses dan produk khususnya dalam dunia industri. Metode permukaan respon mampu menjelaskan sebuah proses industri yang merupakan hubungan antara variabel respon dengan variabel faktor serta mengoptimasinya. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah bagaimana mendapatkan nilai-nilai variabel faktor yang dapat mengoptimumkan beberapa variabel respon secara simultan. Metode optimasi pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan fungsi desirability berdasarkan pada konsep six sigma. Aplikasi pada kinerja economizer dengan dua variabel respon yaitu efektifitas perpindahan panas dan biaya operasi. Masing-masing memiliki karakteristik kualitas yang berbeda sehingga digunakan signal to noise ratio. Optimasi menggunakan fungsi desirability berdasarkan kualitas six sigma menghasilkan kondisi optimum variabel faktor optimal untuk diameter luar tubing 2 inch nilai transfersal spacing 35 inch nilai kerapatan fin 5 fininch dan nilai temperatur feedwater 290. Nilai optimum secara simultan untuk respon efektifitas perpindahan panas 9458 dan respon biaya operasi 9011 jam dengan nilai desirability simultan sebesar 09999587 atau sebesar 54 sigma yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai desirability cukup baik dan target yang diperoleh telah sesuai dengan keinginan.


ABSTRACT

Quality is key word for improvement product and process in industry. Response surface methodology can to explain a process that relationship between response variable and factor variable. Problem which appear is how to get value factor variable that can optimize response variable simultaneously. Optimization method using desirability function based on six sigma quality. Application in economizers performance with two response variable. The quality characteristics of thermall efficiency and operations cost are different then used signal to noise ratio. Optimum conditions built when factor variable have outside diameter tubing 2 inch transfersal spacing 35 inch number of fin 5 fininch dan feedwater temperature 290. Estimated value in response thermall efficiency is 9458 then estimated in operations cost is 9011 hours. The overall desirability value is 09999587 or 54 sigma means its the best process and confirm with spesifications target.
