Dengan semakin banyaknya permintaan akan minyak saat ini maka sangat diperlukan sistem eksplorasi minyak yang memiliki Reliability dan Availability yang tinggi agar bisa menghasilkan minyak mentah semaksimal mungkin. Salah satu bagian penting dari peralatanmesin eksplorasi minyak adalah Pumping Unit sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis Reliability pada Pumping Unit untuk mengetahui nilai Reliability dari peralatan eksplorasi minyak dan juga untuk meningkatkan Reliability dari peralatan yang memiliki kegagalan yang tinggi. Metode Failure Mode And Effect Analysis FMEA merupakan metode kualitatif yang menganalisis Risk Priority Number RPN tertinggi dengan mengidentifikasi Mode-Mode dan akibat kegagalan Pumping Unit. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kualitatif Pumping Unit diperoleh nilai RPN tertinggi 400 yaitu pada komponen Sucker Rod. Dan hasil analisis kuantitatif dari masing-masing Pumping Unit diperoleh interval waktu Maintenance T Reliability Under Preventive Maintenance Availability dan Maintainability. Pada Pumping Unit PH012 komponen yang memiliki T tertinggi yaitu Horse Head dengan nilai sebesar 0.689 0.995 0.023 pada T 10800 jam dan untuk Pumping Unit PH 024 komponen yang memiliki nilai T tertinggi adalah Stuffing Box dengan nilai 0.647 0.994 0.013 saat T 14400 jam. Sehingga berdasarkan data-data yang diperoleh jenis Maintenance yang tepat untuk Pumping Unit PH 012 adalah Corrective Maintenance sedangkan untuk Pumping Unit PH 024 adalah Preventive Maintenance.


Since the growth of oil demand the high reliability and availability oli exploration system is needed in order to maximize the crude oil production. Pumping Unit is a part of the oil exploration system. So that the reliability analysis is performed to the system and its components that have a high failure rating. FMEA Method is the qualitative method that is used to calculate Risk Priority Number RPN and identify the failure modes and the cause and effect of the failure in each component of Pumping Unit. As the result of the analysis Sucker Rod is identified as a component that has highest RPN rating 400. As the result of quantitative analysis the total reliability Rst of PH 012 is 0.6 in t 720 hours and the total availability Ast is 0.96 also in t 720 hours. The tetal reliability Rst of PH 024 is 0.6 in t 2160 hours and the total availabillity Ast is 0.98 also in t 2160 hours. According to the result of the analysis the maintenance system that should be used is corrective maintenance for the PH 012 and preventive maintenance for the PH 024.
