ABSTRAK

Perpindahan panas atau heat tranfer adalah ilmu untuk mempelajari perpindahan energi yang terjadi karena adanya perbedaan suhu diantara benda atau material. Ilmu perpindahan panas itu tidak hanya mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana energi panas itu berpindah dari satu benda ke benda lain tetapi juga dapat menganalisis laju perpindahan yang terjadi pada kondisi-kondisi tertentu. Pada Tugas Akhir ini dibangun model dua dimensi untuk menganalisis aliran panas pada pelat besi dengan menggunakan Metode Volume Hingga dan diselesaikan secara numerik dengan teknik diskretisasi QUICK. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan konsentrasi distribusi aliran panas dipengaruhi oleh perubahan kecepatan panjang pelat dan lebar pelat. Penambahan rata-rata kecepatan 0.5 ms pada pelat besi menyebabkan semakin pendek daerah penyebaran panasnya yang semula menghasilkan konsentrasi sebesar 8 x 10 ppm menjadi sebesar 0.4 x 10 ppm. Penambahan pelat sebesar 0.5 m menyebabkan darerah persebarannya mendekati 0.1 m terhadap daerah perpotongan antara panjang pelat dan lebar pelat. Penambahan lebar pelat sebesar 1.5 m akan menyebabkan kenaikan konsentrasi penyebaran panas sebesar 19.4 x 10 ppm dan penambahan pelat sebesar 1.75 m menyebabkan adanya kenaikan konsentrasi penyebaran panas sebesar 4 x 108 ppm.


ABSTRACT

Heat transfer is a scient that learning of energy moving which is happened of the differential temperature between things and materials that scient is not only try to explain how the moving of heat energy from one things to another but also can analysis the moving heat which is happened in the part condition. In my skripsi is made two model dimension to analysis heat transfer distribution in iron sheet by using Finite Volume Method and will be finished by discretisation technique numeric QUICK. Result of this research indicate that change of hot stream distribution concentration influenced by change of velocity long of plate and wide of plate. Addition of velocity rate 0.5 ms at plate of iron cause short progressively area spreading of heat what initialy yield concentration equal to 8 x 10 ppm become equal to 0.4 x 10 ppm. Addition of plate equal to 0.5 m cause its area come near 0.1 m to intersection area between length lisp and is wide of plate. Wide addition of plate equal to 1.5 m will cause increase of concentration spreading of heat equal to 19.4 x 10 ppm and addition of plate equal to 1.75 m cause the existence of increase of concentration spreading of heat equal to 4 x 10 ppm.
