STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGARUH GAP RATIO DAN BEBAN PENDINGINAN TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK PERPINDAHAN PANAS PADA SUSUNAN TUBE KONDENSOR TERLETAK DI TENGAH DALAM ENCLOSURE

ABSTRAK

Kondensor merupakan salah satu komponen utama dalam sistem refrigerasi. Perpindahan panas pada kondensor merupakan sesuatu yang sangat menarik untuk dikaji. Penempatan posisi kondensor yang diletakan tertanam ditengah pada styrofoam di dalam enclosure secara konveksi bebas akan memungkinkan terjadinya pergerakan aliran udara sebagai efek dari perbedaan densitas udara. Tujuan studi eksperimental ini adalah untuk mengetahui perpindahan panas dan unjuk kerja kondensor pada sistem enclosure. Pada penelitian ini dikaji pengaruh gap ratio Sd dan variasi pembebanan yang diberikan pada evaporator terhadap laju perpindahan panas konveksi alamiah pada kondensor dalam enclosure dengan 20 susunan silinder yang tersusun vertikal. Eksperimen dilakukan dengan memvariasikan gap ratio Sd pada range 1.05 4.2 dan pembebanan pada evaporator dari beban kecil sedang dan besar 40 watt80 watt dan 100 watt.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada beban 100 watt dan gap rasio SD 105 didapatkan laju perpindahan panas kondensor dan plat terbesar adalah 299194 dan 291184 watt. Penggunaan beban kecil dan gap rasio SD yang semakin besar 420sehingga laju perpindahan panas kondensor mengalami penurunan. Begitu pula dengan COP pada beban 100 watt dan gap rasio SD 105 didapatkan COP yang terbesar 2736. Pada beban kecil 40 watt dan gap rasio SD yang semakin besar 420 COP mengalami penurunan.


ABSTRACT

Condensor is one of the main component in refrigeration system. Heat transfer in condensor is interesting to be studied. Condensor position in the middle of styrofoam in enclosure by natural convection will enabling the movement of air flow as the effect of difference density. Heat transfer and performance of condensor in enclosure system are the main target of this experimental. The effect of gap ratio SD and evaporator loading variation on natural convection heat transfer rate at condenser in enclosure with 20 cylinder arranged vertically. The experiment is done by varying gap ratio SD in range between 105-42 and evaporator load from small medium and large 40 watt80 watt and 100 watt. Result of experiment shown that at large load 100 watt and gap ratio SD 105 got the large heat tranfer of condensor and heat transfer of plate are 299194 and 291183 watt. Usage of smaller load and bigger gap ratio SD heat transfer of condensor and plate will decrease. Also with COP at larger load 100 watt and gap ratio SD 105 got highest COP that is 2736. Usage of smaller load 40 watt and bigger gap ratio SD 42 COP became decrease.
