Pemerintah kota Surabaya berencana memperbaiki sistem transportasi dengan cara meningkatkan dan menyediakan sarana dan prasarana transportasi berupa monorail dan trem Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut maka perlu adanya sarana perpindahan antar moda yang dapat memfasilitasi para calon pengguna angkutan umum masal. Sarana perpindahan antar moda yang efektif adalah dengan cara menyediakan sarana parkir berupa park and ride. Mengingat hal tersebut maka pemerintah kota surabaya juga berencana membangun sarana park and ride yang tersebar di dekat shelterhalte pemberhentian AMC Salah satunya yang berada di jalan Mayjend sungkono. Untuk perencanaan park and ride mayjend sungkono metode yang digunakan untuk menghitung demand pengguna park and ride menggunakan metode sampling. Perhitungan dilakukan dengan cara mengkalibrasikan dua data primer yang berupa data wawancara dan data volume kendaraan TC. Dan hasil kalibrasi ini yang nantinya digunakam sebagai dasar acuan untuk perhitungan demand Park and Ride Mayjend sungkono. Berdasarkan hitungan mengenai jumlah demand pengguna Park and ride Mayjend sungkono berdasarkan tarif parkir sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah Surabaya didapat pada tahun 2018 jumlah demand sepeda motor mencapai 4655 dengan prediksi jumlah terbesar yang akan parkir mencapai 5158 sepeda motor dengan kemungkinan terkecil sejumlah 4152 sepeda motor. Sedangkan jumlah demand mobil mencapai 3176 dengan prediksi jumlah terbesar sebanyak 3611 mobil dan jumlah terkecil sebanyak 2741 mobil. Sedangkan proyeksi demand pada tahun 2023 jumlah demand sepeda motor yang akan parkir mencapai 5702 sepeda motor dengan prediksi jumlah sepeda motor yang mau parkir sejumlah 6318 sepeda motor dan kemungkinan terkecil mencapai 5082 sepeda motor. Sedangkan jumlah demand mobil yang mau menggunakan park and ride mencapai 3856 mobil dengan prediksi jumlah terbesar mencapai 4384 mobil dan jumlah terkecil sebanyak 3328 mobil.


Surabaya government plans to develop transportation system by improving and providing facility and infrastructure of transportation such as monorail and trem. Regarding to this planing therefore it needs a movement among transportation tools that can facilited the massive public transportation users. The most effective movement among transportation tools by providing parking area such as park and ride. Considering this planning Surabaya government plans to build the biggest park and ride near shelter of AMC stop as well. One of these shelters is in Mayjend Sungkono. For park and ride in Mayjend Sungkono program the method that is use to calculate demand of park and ride users is using sampling method. The calculation is conducted by calibrating 2 primer data which are interview and vehicle traffic counting TC. The result of the calibration will be use as basic reference for calculating the demand park and ride in Mayjend Sungkono. Based on the demand calculation park and ride users in Mayjend Sungkono it is based on parking fare as Surabaya government rule in 2018 the number of the motorcycle demand up to 4655 with the highest prediction number of this is 5158 and the lowest number is 4152. Meanwhile the number of the car demand up to 3176 with the highest prediction number is 3611 and the lowest number is 2741. Whereas the demand proyector in 2023 the number of motorcycle up to 5702 with the highest prediction number is 6318 and the lowest number is 5082. And the number of car demand which will be using park and ride up to 3856 with the highest prediction number is 4384 and the lowest number is 3328.
