Pemenuhan kebutuhan sarana transportasi laut untuk komoditi daging sapi yang menghubungkan Nusa Tenggara Timur NTT Jakarta masih kurang memadai sedangkan kebutuhan masyarakat Jakarta dan sekitarnya akan daging sapi semakin tinggi. Kapal pengangkut daging sapi diharapkan dapat menggantikan kapal pengangkut ternak sapi karena kapal ini dapat mengangkut daging dengan jumlah lebih banyak untuk bobot yang sama dengan tetap menjaga pengawetan daging selama perjalanan dengan menggunakan sistem pendingin. Pada Tugas Akhir ini didesain sebuah kapal khusus pengangkut daging sapi dengan menggunakan data dari produksi daging sapi dan prediksinya di NTT hingga tahun 2015 kemudian dicari payload rute pelayaran kecepatan dinas dan ukuran utama dari kapal. Dengan ukuran utama yang ada kemudian dilakukan perhitungan teknis untuk mendapatkan ukuran utama yang optimal kemudian mendesain Rencana Garis dan Rencana Umum. Desain kapal khusus pengangkut daging sapi ini nantinya diharapkan dapat memberikan sebuah alternatif desain sebagai solusi untuk menjawab kebutuhan akan daging masyarakat Jakarta dan sekitarnya pada khususnya dan Indonesia pada umumnya. Didapatkan kapal dengan payload 2705 ton atau setara dengan 1320 unit palet dengan ukuran 1100 x 1100 mm dengan ukuran utama Lpp 81.00 m Lwl 84.24 m B 13 m H 8.5 m T 6.105 m dengan rute Pelabuhan Tenau di Kupang NTT menuju Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok di DKI Jakarta.


Sea transportation for beef commodity from East Nusa Tenggara NTT to Jakarta is inadequate while the demand in Jakarta and surrounding areas keeps on increasing. The beef-carrying ship is expected to replace the livestock carrier since this vessel is able to transport more cargoes to the amount for the same weight while the freshness of the beef is maintained by the refrigeration system. This Final Project designs a beef-carrying ship with an ability of transporting beef that is obtained by using the data from beef production in NTT and predicted to 2015 then look for the payload route seaspeed and main dimensions of the ship. With the main dimensions which is already obtained then do technical calculations to obtain the optimal main dimensions then design the Lines Plan and General Arrangement. Through this design of beef-carrying ship it is expected to provide an alternative design as a solution to answer the needs of the people of Jakarta and surrounding areas in particular and Indonesia in general. The ships specifications are obtained with payload of 2705 tons or equivalent with 1320 unit of pallets with 1100 x 1100 mm size and the main dimensions of Lpp 81.00 m LWL 84.24 m B 13 m H 8.5 m T 6105 m from Port of Tenau in Kupang NTT to Port of Tanjung Priok in DKI Jakarta route.
