ANALYSIS OF HOPANOID CONTENT FROM TROPICAL FOREST SOIL IN PACET MOJOKERTO

ABSTRAK

Karakter alami tanah subur yang paling penting adalah keberadaan mikroorganisme terutama bakteri penyerap nitrogen yang mengandung senyawa hopanoid. Hopanoid adalah senyawa metabolit sekunder yang termasuk dalam golongan triterpen pentasiklik. Analisis kandungan hopanoid dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode degradasi H5IO6NaBH4 yang meliputi pencarian sampel tanah yang dilanjutkan dengan oksidasi dan reduksi ekstrak total dengan menggunakan H5IO6 dan NaBH4 asetilasi fraksi reduksi dan analisis sampel menggunakan KGSM. Hasil analisa KG MS menunjukkan bahwa senyawa hopanoid dalam tanah hutan tropis Pacet Mojokerto merupakan senyawa minor dengan kelimpahan 941 sedangkan senyawa utamanya adalah asam lemak jenis asam heksadioat diokltil ester atau yang memiliki nama dagang dioktil adipat sebesar 00003 mgg dan asam heksadekanoat etil ester atau yang memiliki nama dagang etil palmitat sebesar 00061 mgg.


ABSTRACT

Most importanly character from fertile soil is microorganism existence especially nitrogen fixing bacteria that contain hopanoid compound. Hopanoid is a secondary metabolism compound included in pentacyclic triterpenoids. Analysis of Hopanoid content using H5IO6NaBH4 degradation methods were soil sample searching oxdidation and reduction the total extract using H5IO6 and NaBH4 acetylation of the alcohol fraction and sample analysis using GC-MS. Result of analysis GC - MS indicate that hopanoid compound of tropical forest soil in Pacet Mojokerto represent the minor compound with the overflows 941 while primary compound is fatty acid of hexanedioic acid dioctyl ester or owning trade name of dioctyl adipate 00003 mgg and hexadecanoic acid ethyl ester or owning trade name of ethyl palmitate 00061 mgg.
