ABSTRAK

Noise merupakan kesalahan yang terjadi dalam proses pengambilan citra yang menyebabkan sebuah nilai intensitas piksel tidak mencerminkan nilai intensitas piksel yang sebenarnya. Metode yang akan digunakan pada tugas akhir ini untuk memperbaiki citra yang mengandung noise adalah interscale orthonormal wavelet threshold. Metode ini akan diterapkan pada citra yang mengandung Gaussian additive white noise. Dalam tugas akhir ini diperkenalkan sebuah pendekatan baru untuk proses denoising image dengan orthonormal wavelet. Yang menjadi kunci adalah sebuah estimasi MSE -Stein unbiased risk estimate- yang hanya bergantung pada citra bernoise bukan bergantung pada citra yang bersih. Dengan meminimalkan SURE melalui sejumlah proses denoising akan menghasilkan sebuah solusi yang mendekati optimal. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan ini dibuat algoritma denoising yang memperhitungkan ketergantungan interscale dan mengabaikan korelasi intrascale. Sedangkan untuk menggantikan fitur-fitur yang hilang dikembangkan prosedur yang berdasarkan pada group delay compensation. Melalui proses uji coba dan evaluasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode denoising yang digunakan menunjukkan performansi yang cukup baik dalam mereduksi noise pada citra. Sehingga citra yang dihasilkan memiliki hasil visual yang lebih baik nilai PSNR yang tinggi dan tingkat error yang seminimal mungkin.


ABSTRACT

Noise can appears in the image when transformation process or image compression. High noise intensity or low can decrease quality of the image and make loss some of detail image informations. In this final project interscale orthonormal wavelet threshold will be applied to denoise some standard images corrupted with Gaussian additive white noise. This final project introduces a new approach to orthonormal wavelet image denoising. This approach is made possible thanks to the existence of an efficient estimate of the MSE Steins unbiased risk estimate- that depend on the noisy image alone not on the clean one. Its minimization over a set of denoising processes automatically provides a near optimal solution. Using this approach it designed an image denoising algorithm that takes into account interscale dependencies but discards intrascale correlations. A rigorous procedure based on the relative group delay compensation has developed in order to compensate for features misalignment. Based on the experiments and evaluation it can be concluded that this denoising method is showing a good performance on reducing noise in image. So the image that produced has a better visualization best output PSNR for most of the images and as low as possible error rate
